I really like reading about English kings and queens - that covers a long period of time. I also like to read WWII novels and memoirs.

Ohhh! I love historical fiction. I also love just about any time period out there. However, if I have to choose just one, I will go for the colonial or civil war time period in US history and Elizabethan England. Hmmm...I guess I couldn't pick just one:)

Hooray for Christmas and for good books to read over break. I'm a huge fan of historical fiction and nonfiction, so I enjoy reading across a span of periods. I particularly enjoy stories that go way back to Biblical times and places such as Francine River's Voice of the Wind Trilogy and Ann Rice's Christ the Lord: Out of... Books.

Great books and question!

I've already got two of these so don't enter me but I am looking forward to reading Shadow of Lions - I love French and English history and I've already read Until We Reach Home great story.

I don't know what my favorite time period would be there are so many I enjoy - being a historical novel junkie.

Some of my top picks are Regency, WWII, Westward Migration (Oregon Trail and Wagon Trains in other words) and I'm sure there are others I've missed because really any historical I've picked up if well done makes me fall in love with reading about the people, times and places it chronicles.

I absolutely adore the Victorian era, especially Victorian London. I've been drawn to it ever since I was little and fell in love with A Christmas Carol.

I also enjoy reading about colonial America.

I love historical fiction, especially romance, but if I had to choose a time period, it would either be Bible times or the old West.

Thanks for the giveaway!

I'm really interested in Biblical history right now... I've always been avidly interested in all periods of history, actually. After reading "The Shape of Mercy" I was really drawn into the Salem Witch Trials (too sad to go too much into though). Have you read that one yet? I might have missed your review if you have. :-)

Thanks for the giveaway, I'm dying to read "In The Shadow of the Lions"!
