My Thoughts:
I'm always on the lookout for good books to recommend to teens and preteens. And I get a lot of questions from parents, wanting recommendations for books they don't need to have concerns with.
So it feels great to be able to say that any book published by Zonderkidz (Zondervan Publishing) is a book you can trust. "Riley Mae and the Rock Shocker Trek" begins a new series in the Faithgirlz line of books called "The Good News Shoes Series".
Riley Mae is feisty and filled with faith, and devotion to her family and friends. Jill Osborne has added a hint of mystery to an engaging story, and crafted some fun characters for preteen and teen girls to get to know.
This is just one aspect of my job as a book reviewer that I really get a kick out of...getting to read books for all ages, in search of good quality. My thanks to my friends at Zondervan Publishing for my advance copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
"Riley Mae and the Rock Shocker Trek" is perfect summer reading, and I highly recommend this new series!
