Picture Perfect by Janice Thompson

About the Book:

Feisty wedding photographer Hannah McDermott has dealt with her share of difficult brides. But none can compare to the ultimate Bridezilla she's dealing with now. Still, she's trying desperately to impress Bella Neeley, Galveston Island's most sought-after wedding planner, so she can take the top spot in Bella's list of recommended photographers--a spot currently occupied by her arch-rival, Drew Kincaid. What she doesn't count on, however, is falling head over heels for the competition.

With her contagious humor and cast of quirky characters, Janice Thompson gives readers more of the bridal business drama they want in a brand-new series all about those long-suffering people who make beautiful weddings happen. Readers are desperately waiting for more of Bella and this new series brings her back in a big way, while introducing new characters fans will love. Fans will laugh out loud as they experience this breezy and entertaining novel from a great storyteller.

My Thoughts:

Janice Thompson has a unique way of crafting characters that you wish you could sit down with and share a cup of coffee and dish over life!  I fell head over heels in love with Bella Neeley in "Weddings by Bella" and wanted that series to go on and on.

Well, guess what?  Bella is back, along with her crazy Italian family...and we have new people to discover and adore in Janice's new series, "Weddings by Design".  The first book introduces insecure photographer Hannah McDermott as she attempts to launch her career with a pivotal article in Texas Bride magazine.

Unfortunately her competition and equally talented, handsome nemesis, Drew Kincaid, seems to turn up wherever Hannah is.  Drew is Bella's number one choice for wedding photographer, leaving Hannah in what she feels is a distant second.  Can Hannah knock Drew off his easel of ease and make herself top snapshot?

Antics abound in this hilarious debut, promising we're in for another wild ride with the wedding makers of Galveston.  It's fun to see Bella in the background, coaching Hannah in her own walk with God and conquering her fears of failure.

As someone who has a Jacquie Goldfarb in her past, I could relate to Hannah and her fears.  It's hard to see yourself as you truly are unless you are looking with the eyes of Jesus.  But Hannah is just as adorable as our Bella was and still is...and Janice's writing is just as fun and engaging.

Plus, when Irish meets Italian...does it get any wilder??  I received a copy of "Picture Perfect" from Revell Publishing in exchange for an honest review.  Honestly, I'm so eager for the second book to release ("Icing On The Cake") that I found my original "Weddings by Bella" trilogy to tide me over:-)

"Picture Perfect" is highly recommended.

Happy Reading!
