Fear, Faith and a Fistful of Chocolate by Debora M. Coty

About the Book:

Fear, Faith, and a Fistful of Chocolates is tailored to women worn down by everyday fears—financial, health, relationships, loss, pain, the unknown, the what-ifs—both real and imagined. In a nutshell, the stuff of life. Coty encourages women to join hands and hearts and approach the quest to conquer life’s worries with faith, a girlfriend, and a smile.

My Thoughts:

What a fun, encouraging read!  Debora Coty is a favorite of mine.  Her devotional books are always packed with truth and wisdom, and sprinkled with wit and humor.  Her latest book deals with a more serious topic, so the tone is a bit different...but still contains Debora's trademark sense of humor.

The broader breakdown of the book tackles internal, external and faceless fears, with each chapter brief and to the point. She ends with excellent quotes to encourage us and some 'More Pluck, Less Chicken' questions to guide a study or to journal.

Debora breaks it down further with a list of five general categories of fear to start off: spurting fear, savory fear, saturating fear, simmering fear and sovereign fear.  Does that tantalize your reading tastebuds?  It did mine!

The design of the book is appealing and the content is first rate.  "Fear, Faith and a Fistful of Chocolate" can be read as a devotional, used as a personal study, or get a group of gals and talk it all over together.

I received a copy of the book by taking part in a book tour developed by LitFuse in exchange for an honest review.  "Fear, Faith and a Fistful of Chocolate" is published by Barbour, and is highly recommended!

Happy Reading!
