My Thoughts:

I always seem to be late to the current party.  I had heard of "Duck Dynasty" through Facebook posts, but had no idea what so many people were so enthusiastically promoting.  Then, while browsing through bookstore shelves, I stumbled across a book with a most fascinating cover--and couldn't help but take a peek inside.

With a strange look on his face, my hubby purchased a copy of "The Duck Commander Family" for me.  I devoured it in one sitting.  This is the strangest book I've ever been privileged to read...and I LOVED IT!! 

It left me happy, happy, HAPPY!!

You may think you know Willie and Korie Robertson from watching their show.  Believe me when I tell you you ain't seen nothing yet!  The book goes back to the roots of this family of faith and all things duck, and is very candid and revealing.  The faith of the Robertson family is inspiring and truly lived out in daily life.

You'll never meet another family as engaging and quirky as the Robertson clan...and you'll find yourself wishing they lived in your neighborhood!  And yes, Uncle Si is in the book, along with Jase, Phil, Miss Kay and the rest of the Duck Commander family tree.

The book also includes family recipes (each chapter is titled with a favorite family dish (like Fried Bologna, Duck Gumbo and Fried Squirrel).  I doubt you'll find another book that leaves you laughing, shedding some tears, and shaking your head at the faith-filled antics found in these pages.

I'm so glad I bought this one!  "The Duck Commander Family" is a must-read, whether you like the show or, like me, one episode is more than enough!  And the family photos...oh, how handsome Willie is underneath all that hair!
