Words by Ginny Yttrup

This stunning debut novel by author Ginny Yttrup is easily one the most moving novels I've read this year. Ginny has created memorable characters that will stay with you long after you've turned the last page. Break out the tissues and prepare for a long sit down with this one!

When ten-year-old Kaylee Wren's mother left her, she took something precious with her. Not only Kaylee's heart and love...but she took Kaylee's voice. Left with an abusive step-father, the little girl refuses to speak. Instead, she keeps her precious "Words" in a box.

Sierra Dawn has lost someone special to her as well: her daughter. Feeling lost and alone, Sierra just wanders through life. She has her art, but her paintings cannot hug her back or hold her when she aches to be held.

A chance encounter brings these two together, and something beautiful begins to happen. The Lover of our Souls is orchestrating a symphony of love and return to Him, as well as knitting together two hearts in need of one another.

Ginny has...well...a way with "Words". She writes poetry in novel form, and draws out every drop of emotion and feeling you have as a reader. She avoids the cheesey or cliche, yet you feel as if you're in familiar territory. I think that's because we've all, at some point, felt as if we had no words.

And, like Kaylee, we store them up for the day we find that safe place, that safe person...and then we release them. This is the perfect novel for any reader in your life. Let Jesus Christ, the Living Word, open your heart and open your eyes to those in need around you through this story.

Who knows? Maybe He'll bring someone into your life who's just filled with "Words" to share. Whatever you do, do NOT miss out on this wonderful story from Ginny Yttrup. And I'm hoping she hasn't run out of "Words"...can't wait to read what she writes next!

My thanks to Julie at B&H Fiction for my advance copy. "Words" will release February of 2011 from B&H Fiction, so mark your calendar or, better yet, place your advanced order now!

I'm giving "Words" five out of five bookmarks, with a pocket dictionary as a charm. This is one book I plan on reading again and again...and I don't do that very often!
Happy Reading!
