Songs of Deliverance by Marilyn Griffith

Marilyn Griffith writes with exquisite beauty, and each of her novels is more than a story: they are experiences. Her newest release is multi-layered and deep with meaning, revealing redemption and hope amid losses unimaginable.

"Songs of Deliverance" traces the paths of four individuals: Zeely, Grace, Ron and Brian. Each has loved; each has lost. But what they ultimately gain demonstrates the truth of Joel, that the Lord DOES restore what the locusts have eaten.

Tracing them from their early years until the present, Marilyn weaves an intricate tapestry of wrong choices, circumstance and divine direction. My only complaint is the transitions between characters.

Each tells a portion of the story, and at times I had to go back to see who was speaking at a particular time. The cover detail doesn't really capture the story, so don't worry about the back of the book!

Mystery abounds as they unravel who committed abominable acts and as the guilty are brought to justice. And the love story within the pages...Whoo! That's all I'm saying 'bout that!

In all, "Songs Of Deliverance" sets out to accomplish great things, and does so masterfully. So I'm rating this one four out of five bookmarks, with a certificate as a charm. Question is: certificate of graduation, certification...or marriage? And who's is it?

You'll just have to thank my friends at Revell for releasing "Songs of Deliverance" this month! Thanks to Donna Hausler for my complimentary copy!

Happy Reading!

I'm reading this now, and I'm so confused! I'll stick with it based on your review. I hope they sort all of this out....
