The Secret Life of Becky Miller by Sharon Hinck

Picture a young stay at home mom, taking care of her family, redecorating her home, and helping at her church....but not really up there on the scale of things that matter in the Kingdom.

So, she takes adventures...exotic mission trips, rescue efforts, great creative ventures...all in her imagination! And she takes you along for the rides, a willing passenger. But then, reality always seems to come calling, bringing her back to her not so important world. And that is where we all fall in love with Becky Miller.

Events that seem like tragedies come together with the ordinary to reveal a very important truth to both Becky and to the reader...things are not always what they seem...sometimes it takes someone else to help us realize this.

By the end of the novel, both Becky and I realize that little is much when God is in it, even if it is just a shoulder to cry on or a safe place to vent. That we don't have to do the grand to have a mighty impact in God's Kingdom, and whether you're a SAHM, a working mom, a single mom, or not even a mom, you too matter greatly in God's economy.

Becky Miller tops my gonna-read-it-again list. She joins Sophie from Lori Wick's "Sophie's Heart", a book I read once a year for inspiration and encouragement. Can't wait for part two in "Renovating Becky Miller". Watch for a review.

Go out and get this book and READ IT!!

You won't be disappointed!!
