The Sky We Walk Upon by Lissa Marie Niederer

About the Book:

Hannah Mackenzie has never given her faith, or lack thereof, a second thought. Between her mother's emotional estrangement and a seemingly uninterested man of her dreams, Hannah is too preoccupied with her worldly relationships to think about a God who may or may not exist.

But when she begins to reach beyond her comfort zone, finding the hope of love in the most unexpected place, something begins to take root in Hannah's heart-something that requires her to trust in a truth that is beyond what she can touch and see.

Will the ice and storms of a brutal winter prove too much for Hannah to handle? Will her fledgling faith be strong enough to carry her through the trials to come?

Set against the ruggedly beautiful backdrop of the western Maine wilderness, The Sky We Walk Upon is the story of one woman's redemptive climb to joy, beckoning readers to examine their own capacity for believing in a love that has no end.

My Thoughts:

I'm thrilled to introduce you to a new author with a fantastic debut novel!  Lissa Marie Niederer has crafted a memorable story with depth and rich detail, as well as memorable characters and a picture perfect setting.

Hannah is every girl...about to go out into the world on her own, and unsure of her direction in life.  But what Hannah sees as a lack of relationship with a guy turns out to be much more...she has a yearning for God Himself.

Justin seems to be the man of Hannah's dreams once he finally figures out they are more than just buddies.  But can he satisfy the deep longing in her soul for relationship?  Will he ever be able to communicate his heart to the girl who has captured his attention?

Two serious blows knock Hannah's world off its axis and cause her to search more deeply into who she is meant to be and what she was made for.  Be prepared for some surprises along the way...some good, some not so good.

My thanks to Lissa and WestBow Press for my advance ebook in exchange for an honest review.  I can truly say I loved just about everything about "The Sky We Walk Upon" (especially where she came up with the title!)...but the ending!  Oh, the ending!!

I'll still be on the lookout for more from  this dynamic author...just hoping for a more satisfying ending...oh, the ending!

Happy Reading!
