Raptor 6, Book One in the Quiet Professionals by Ronie Kendig

 About the Book:

Captain Dean Watters keeps his mission and his team in the forefront of his laser-like focus.

So when Dean’s mission and team are threatened, his Special Forces training kicks into high gear. Failing to stop hackers from stealing national security secrets from the military’s secure computers and networks isn’t an option.

Zahrah Zarrick is a missionary teacher to Afghan children in Mazar-e Sharif.

And a target.

When Zahrah is captured because of her expertise in quantum cryptology, compromising the US military, Dean is forced to crack the lockbox around his heart—a move that might come at the highest cost.

My Thoughts:

Ronie has earned her title of author of Rapid-Fire Fiction, and she just keeps getting better with each series.  First of all, I adore the name of this series, "The Quiet Professionals".  That is proof of her amazing talent alone.  Then, the characters she creates...

...oh, the characters!  I was emailing Ronie asking if Captain Dean Watters was going to be featured in a book, and she replied "oh, yes", with a smiley face.  I loved him in "A Breed Apart", Ronie's trilogy about military war dogs, but he didn't get enough page time to suit me.  I knew he was meant to be a leading man.

I was RIGHT!  He owns the role in this book as he leads his team to uncover who is stealing military intel and equipment.  But his true personality comes out when he encounters Zahrah.  Oh, do sparks fly!  And not just the heart shaped ones!

Ronie writes with authority and knowledge, and she packs so much into her books: detail, character development, humor, romance, adventure, intrigue, and of course, faith.  Don't blink, and don't miss a word, because Ronie makes every word count.

I am eager for more of "The Quiet Professionals", and I am thrilled to share that Ronie has written a serialization titled "Operation Zulu" that kicks off July 4th... and the prologue is FREE!

My thanks to Shiloh Run Press, a division of Barbour Publishing for my advance copy via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.  March to your local bookstore or order on line...that is an order!  And while you are at it, check out all of Ronie's books.  You'll be so glad you did!
Happy Reading!
