My Thoughts:

Eva has always been one of my favorite authors, and with each book I grow to love her storytelling style more and more.  She captured me with her earlier series, co-authored by Linda Evans Shepherd, but her latest books are 'stay-up-into-the-wee-hours' reading experiences!

Patsy Milstrap has had a difficult life.  A loving mother wasn't enough to make up for her monster of a step-father and his abuse.  But what Patsy remembers as abandonment is actually the greatest gift she's ever been given.

Safety.

A chance meeting on a bus turns into more, and soon Patsy is beginning a life and a building a home of her own.  This story is the perfect illustration of what can happen when we build on faulty foundations.  And what can happen when we find a love that truly lasts a lifetime.

I don't want to say any more because I don't want to spoil the magic of the story as it unfolds.  I was two-thirds through the book when I just had to stop and cry and email Eva and tell her just how much I adored her and her writing.
