The Director's Cut by Janice Thompson

From the Back Cover:

Tia Morales is used to calling the shots. She's the director of the popular sitcom Stars Collide, and her life on set is calculated and orderly. Well, most of the time. But her life outside the studio is another matter. If only she could get her family to behave as well as her stars do! When she starts butting heads with handsome camera operator Jason Harris, it's enough to send a girl over the edge. Will she ever learn to let go and take life--and love--as it comes?

Full of the humor and crazy family dynamics Janice Thompson fans have come to love, this colorful story gives readers an inside look at Hollywood and a healthy dose of romance.

My Thoughts:

This is my favorite of the trilogy!  Tia's family is so messed up that they drain the fun out of dysfunctional!  In turn, Tia is a major big-time control freak, and never more so than when she's directing the cast of the hit sit-com, "Stars Collide".

Life is about to teach Tia Who is really in control. Add in a new assistant, create a little romantic tension between Tia and her camera operator, Jason...and let little sister get a job in hair and makeup, and watch chaos ensue!

I loved Tia.  Her heart is huge, it's just majorly damaged, mainly thanks to her dear old dad.  While mine never stepped out on mom, I could still relate to her daddy-daughter issues.

"The Director's Cut" blends the unique story of Janice's "Backstage Pass" trilogy with the wacky family dynamics I loved in "Weddings by Bella", crafting the perfect summer reading experience.

I received my copy of "The Director's Cut" from Revell Publishing in exchange for my honest review.  Truthfully, I've adored every book written by Janice, and this one is no exception.  Highly recommended...and don't miss the first two novels in the series!

Happy Reading!
