Pause for Power by Warren Wiersbe

Warren Wiersbe has been a favorite in my home for many years. With a husband who's also a pastor, most of Mr. Wiersbe's books get a lot of use. But this particular book is one that will get read most...by me.

"Pause For Power" is a 365-day devotional book that takes the best of Warren Wiersbe's books--the teaching, the practicality, and the heart--and breaks it all down into easy-to-read daily devotionals.

Each devotional tackles a particular area of the Christian life, such as devotional times and maturity, applying a passage of Scripture and sharing thoughts on the passage.

The readings are brief but powerful. Each day's reading closes with a point to ponder...something to apply to your life that will make it richer and make your faith stronger.

The points to ponder are great journal-starters for note-takers. Great discussion-starters as well for small group time or for family devotions. But don't let the brevity of each reading fool you...there's some mighty spiritual meat in each day's reading.

That's why "Pause For Power" is getting four out of five bookmarks from me, with a high-lighter as a charm. This is a book that you'll read year after year, and a great gift to help a believer along the path of daily Bible reading.

My thanks to my friends at David C. Cook and The B&B Media Group for my copy. "Pause For Power" is available at bookstores everywhere...and online as well!

Happy Reading!
