Nowhere, Carolina by Tamara Leigh

Tamara Leigh has the special ability to create quirky, memorable heroines who are flawed and adorable...each one is an 'every woman' kind of character, which leaves us with stories that we can truly dive into and find ourselves somewhere in the telling.

"Nowhere, Carolina" continues her 'Southern Discomfort' series, telling us the story of Maggie Pickwick...the beautiful, popular Pickwick cousin. The Pickwick cousin that would appear to have it all...feels rather empty, in fact.

Now Maggie has returned to Pickwick, a place she vowed to stay away from forever. She's back with her tween daughter, a successful auction house, and memories that just won't leave her alone.

Especially when her rascally uncle Obe hires renowned artist Reece Thorpe to create his sculpted gift to the town...creating more than chaos in Maggie's life. Now her heart is in turmoil...and secrets threaten to come out.

Will Reece ever believe he's meeting a new and improved Maggie Pickwick? What will happen when he meets Maggie's daughter, Devyn? And will Devyn's friendship with Reece be her mother's undoing?

The South just seems to have so many secrets, and the families and relationships represented in literature just are so entertaining! But Tamara doesn't just entertain the reader. Each story has a message of faith, hope and change. And you can't help but love her heroines!

So, "Nowhere, Carolina" gets four out of five bookmarks from me, with a gavel as a charm. Don't miss Tamara's first novel in the "Southern Discomfort" series, "Leaving Carolina"...and be on the lookout for more coming soon from Multnomah.

My thanks to my friends at Multnomah for my copy.

Happy Reading!
