Timescape by Robert Liparulo

Move over, R.L. Stine! J.K. Rowling WHO? Take a hike, Stephanie Meyer...there's a new kid in town, and his stories give all others a run for the money!

With "Timescape", the fourth volume in the Dreamhouse Kings saga, Robert Liparulo ratchets up the suspense from spine-tingling to bone-chilling. Imagine taking a ride on the Titanic...or meeting ancient berserkers, the pre-curser to the modern werewolf legend?

Xander and David have their hands full tracking the mysterious stranger who wants the King family run out of town. Plus, keeping the monsters away. Add in searching for their missing family member...and you've got a full-time job.

All while trying to keep up a facade of normal living...going to school, tormenting their little sister, Toria...getting to know long lost relatives. And hunting down new rooms with new adventures...

Not the kind of book you want to be reading at bedtime...unless you like jumping at every creaking sound your house makes! Peeking into empty closets will no longer be a casual sport after reading about where closets may take you in the Dreamhouse.

In every book, Robert's writing gets tighter and crisper. The scenes come to life quickly, and it's hard not to let your pulse pound along with David's and Xander's. I'm telling you, makes me not want to move...EVER!

Thank goodness I have the next book in my hot, little hands...did I mention the cliff-hanger endings Robert keeps throwing at us? Pure, exquisite torture, I'm telling you! This entire series would make an outstanding Christmas present for the avid fantasy/adventure reader in your family.

I'm giving "Timescape" five out of five bookmarks, with a door key as a charm. I'm also voting it "Best Teen Suspense/Speculative/Fantasy Fiction of 2009. Check out my other reviews...no spoilers here...but great reading!

House of Dark Shadows
The Watcher In The Woods
Gatekeepers

Oh, and I DO have one question...why, oh why hasn't someone optioned this series for motion pictures??? Hell-o...do I have to think of everything?? LOL!!

Happy Reading!
