Squeezing Good out of Bad by James N. Watkins

From the engaging cover art to the humorous contents, "Squeezing Good Out of Bad" will put a new perspective on your 'life lemons'. James N. Watkins has had his share of lemons to squeeze good out of, and his writing rings with first hand knowledge.

The book shares ten things we should consider doing when faced with a souring situation, from checking the packing slip to make sure it's our situation, to painting smiles on our lemons to cheer ourselves and others up.

But the book isn't all light-hearted: James recognizes that sometimes we are faced with serious trials, and some need help that goes beyond painting faces on lemons. His book is geared toward humor and lightening our load...and our viewpoint.

He offers other suggestions and references in the appendix of the book. For those who need professional help in coping with issues in life, they too will be blessed with James' book.

My only issue was with the printing. At times I felt as if I was reading an unedited draft, longing for a smoother look to the pages. That might seem nit-picky to some, but with my eyesight, at times the words felt as if they were coming at me instead of laying flat on the page.

But, in spite of that glitch, I'm giving "Squeezing Good Out of Bad" four out of five bookmarks, with a lemon peeler as a charm...that way we can get more 'zest' out of life! Sorry...blame it on the book!

My thanks to Kathy Carlton Willis for my copy!

Happy Reading!
