A Little Help From My Friends by Anne Dayton and May Vanderbilt

Anne and May began by writing chick lit for us grownup girls. Now, they write novels for teens/young adults. Either way they write it, this dynamic duo writes some of the best lit in the industry!

I'm grateful to FaithWords for the copy I received and the chance to review this one!

This time around it's Zoe's turn to tell her story. The third novel in the "Miracle Girls" series continues the fight for Ms. Moore, their favorite teacher. But Zoe has more than one battle on her hands during her junior year of high school.

She most definitely is in need of "A Little Help From My Friends"...the group that came together three years ago. Zoe's family life is falling apart, and she feels helpless to stop it.

Her romantic life is also shattering, and she doesn't want to see anyone get hurt. But sometimes love hurts, a lesson Zoe is about to discover. Between band, work, school, her boyfriend, and the relationship she has with the other Miracle Girls, it's a wonder she gets any rest.

By far, Zoe is my favorite character. I identify with Ana the most, but would love to have a friend like Zoe in my corner. She's youngest, shy, and quiet...but when she goes to bat for a friend...

...watch out! I'm giving "A Little Help From My Friends" five out of five bookmarks, with a salsa stained burrito as a charm. While I wouldn't want to work side-by-side with Zoe, I wouldn't mind taking one of those long, talking walks with her!

Don't miss out on any of these great novels in the series: The Miracle Girls, Breaking Up Is Hard To Do, and now A Little Help From My Friends.

And check out their grown-up girl chick lit as well (Emily Ever After, Consider Lily and The Book of Jane)!

Happy Reading!
