A Taste of Fame by Linda Evans Shepherd and Eva Marie Everson

The Potluck Club is back, and their catering business is in full swing. Can anything stop this group of lovable women from acheiving their dreams? And do they all dream of success, or something more?

"A Taste of Fame" shines the spotlight on reality television through a cable competition for caterers. Lisa Leann gets the group in a mess when her son films their recent wedding event, then submits it for entry on "The Great Party Showdown".

Much to their dismay, The Potluck Club wins a slot on the competition. Will Donna Vesey's prayers be answered--will the team get eliminated on the first night? And what would be the fun in that, I say!

With humor and heart, Linda and Eva take us on a wild adventure through the spotlight of momentary fame and what it can cost to be noticed by millions, through the trashy tabloid culture we find ourselves sickly enamoured with, and through the secrets we keep from our friends, family...and even from ourselves.

"A Taste of Fame" was MORE than enough for me! I'd never want to be a part of reality television, no matter how great the prize. The cost is far too high. Just ask David and Wade!

This installment of the series comes with delicious recipes, as usual. And, from the looks of it, we're getting at least one more story about Evie, Goldie, Lizzie, Donna, Vonnie, and Lisa Leann.

For now, I'm giving "A Taste of Fame" four out of five bookmarks, with a slotted spoon as a charm. Now, I'm off to attempt some of the easier recipes in the book! Cook you all...I mean...see you all later!

Happy Reading!
