She Did What She Could by Elisa Morgan

Anyone with the ability to know what is taking place around the world would have to agree with one thing: our world is a mess. The poverty, disease, war, and political climate are overwhelming at most times.

Ever feel helpless?

Then you need to read a short, yet powerful book by Elisa Morgan, a woman who most definitely did what SHE could. Many years ago Elisa noted that new moms felt isolated and alone, and she created MOPS...which is now a world wide organization.

In "She Did What She Could", Elisa examines the power of those five words in relation to Jesus, a bottle of priceless perfume, and a woman of low standing. The power in those five words may bring your level of hope to the top of your emotions again.

And empower you to help change the world for Christ.

The book was actually sparked by an NBC Nightly News broadcast (the only mainstream news I watch:-). Elisa took note of a horrific story and found herself howling in emotional pain and helplessness.

I've been there. It hurts. It feels hopeless.

But then Elisa remembered what Jesus said, and created this book. And it isn't just a book for women. Every believer, young or old, needs to read this book. It needs to be taught, discussed, preached, and shouted from the rooftops.

But first, we need to ask ourselves: can this be said of us? Many times I feel like I don't make much of a ripple in life's pond. I'm a stay at home mom, with a blog about books.

Eh.

Then I'll get an email or read a comment...and feel like Jesus is smiling down on me saying, "Good work, Deena! You did what you could." Isn't that just the greatest feeling?

So go out and get a copy of this book. It's short, but it's powerful. And it comes from Elisa Morgan's heart...isn't that the best place for a book to come from? I'm giving "She Did What She Could" the Golden Bookmark for Writing Excellence, and adding a golden pen as a tassel.

Now, go out and do what you can for Jesus. Believe me, it makes a difference!

Happy Reading!

Wow. This one sounds fantastic. So, often we forget that it's the little things that really matter and add up. Service doesn't have to be big elaborate events. It can be a smile or an encouragement.

Great review for what sounds like a really neat book.
