Same Kind of Different As Me by Ron Hall and Denver Moore

Once again, I'm late to this reading party. My husband actually bought this book nearly a year ago, read it, fell in love with it, and tried to get me to read it.

Stubbornly, I said no. So, he loaned it to his sister, who wept her way through the book. Even though I felt left out when they would discuss parts of the book, I still insisted I have more pressing reading waiting for me.

So it must be God's timing that I picked this up and read it in just over one day. The life lessons in this book must NOT be missed! I fell in love with Denver, and I see things through his eyes now, which I must say remind me an awful lot of our Father's eyes.

What in the world could a world class art dealer and a modern day slave have in common? One lives on a luxurious ranch called 'Rocky Top', jets around the world and can make millions on one painting.

The other has been dragged by a rope, has perfected the hamburger drop, and flies into a rage to keep the other homeless from bothering him and his stuff--what little there is.

But a woman named Deborah and a God who loves both Ron and Denver had a plan, and it is a beautiful picture of God's grace, and whether rich or poor...home rich or homeless...God loves us and wants to redeem us.

And He will go to the most extraordinary lengths to do so. Don't miss this book. "Same Kind of Different As Me" has been out for a while, but you shouldn't have any trouble finding a copy.
