Mom 2 Mom Series by New Leaf Press

I just discovered an adorable and informative series published by New Leaf Press! Each book in the series is for moms, but is designed to give specific encouragement to moms in a variety of life stages and situations.

I've had 3 tweenagers living in my home, and it is a challenge keeping up with the changes that come with hormones, peer pressure, and independence beginning to emerge in your child.

"7 Reasons to be Grateful You're the Mother of a Tweenager" is authored by Sheila Michaels, and gives wisdom on keeping your sense of humor, remembering every day is a do-over chance, and much more.

I've also raised my share of toddlers, and this age is commonly known as the terrible twos. Which raises the question: is it because the CHILD is two, or because the PARENTS are in their 20's? (LOL!!)

"7 Reasons to be Grateful You're the Mother of a Toddler" is authored by Karen Sjoblom, and she shares insight into being thankful that God has a plan, being thankful for the people in our lives and even more.

My adopted daughter is a single mom, and it isn't easy. Some days are harder than others, but she thanks God every day for her 2 month old son (and I thank Him too!).

"7 Reasons to be Grateful You're a Single Mom" takes the focus off of the less positive aspects and puts the emphasis on the positive, following the teaching of the Apostle Paul in Philippians 4:8. Also written by Karen Sjoblom, she talks about appreciating your child and not focusing on your circumstance.

With a new grandson in my home, I'm reminded often of when my children were first born. Life is so fresh and new with a brand new baby! But it can also be a time of stress and lack of rest.

This season of life DOES pass quickly...my grandson was just born yesterday, wasn't he?? In "7 Reasons to be Grateful You're the Mother of a Newborn", Laura Speidel encourages moms to savor every moment, even when you're bleary eyed from lack of sleep and feel like you've just changed your thousandth diaper!

Finally, sometimes we come into relationships with our families already begun. Either being widowed at an early age or suffering through the pain of a divorce, becoming a blended family takes an extra measure of grace, patience and wisdom.

"7 Reasons to be Grateful You're the Mother of a Blended Family" is penned by Kathy Vick, and she tackles the tough and sometimes straining issues that a blended family faces. With seven children, my family was blended from day one, and I know it isn't easy.

Kathy also reminds you to keep your sense of humor close by, to be grateful, to surround yourself with encouragers, and to thank God always for the journey.

With such a collection of wonderful books, you can find encouragement in any area of motherhood. I'm glad I found these, and I hope you enjoy them as well! I'm giving "The Mom 2 Mom Series" four out of five bookmarks with a rubber ducky as a charm.

Happy Reading!
