On Tour with The Husband Project by Kathi Lipp

Most books on improving marriages are filled with tips on how the men can woo the woman in their lives. Rarely do you find a book totally devoted to wooing your man. Kathi Lipp's unique book is not only fun to read, it looks like great things will happen if you take the challenge.

"The Husband Project" puts the focus on showing your husband love and respect, two needs a man needs to feel safe in his marriage. It's too easy in today's busy and disposable society to take one another for granted--but how often do we see the man as the one being taken for granted?

Kathi gives us 21 days of projects designed to make the man in your marriage important you again, and to let him know yes, you notice him and still love and desire him.

Some of the projects include eliminate something that makes him crazy (in my case, I may have to leave for a few days:-), a 'gotcha' day that says I saw what you did and I appreciate it.

Others are "dress to impress", wearing something he likes just for him and him alone--which made me realize I dress to impress others more often than I do my man. Another easy and fun idea is creating some down time for him when he gets home.

I know in my house, dad is usually bombarded with "look at me" stuff as soon as he hits the door--and we have teenagers in our house! Nothing in Kathi's book is too extreme or undoable.

She advises having accountability partners to keep you on track. I say grab a girlfriend or two just for the fun of sharing. "The Husband Project" is similar to the Love Dare, but this time the women are pampering their men...a nice change from the usual male-bashing that goes on, even in the church.

I'm giving "The Husband Project" five out of five bookmarks, with a take-out menu as a charm. Feeding him his favorite meal is one of the challenges...but she didn't say for sure where he had to eat it!

Want to win a copy? Leave me a comment with your hubby's (or fiance's) first name, and I'll draw a winner on Valentine's Day!!

Happy Reading!
