Finding Marie by Susan Page Davis

I can't believe I'm admitting this, but I think I've found an author I love MORE than Dee Henderson! When it comes to military suspense, Susan Page Davis has me tied up in knots and reading into the wee hours of the morning!

I first met Marie in "Frasier Island", albeit briefly. But I fell in love with Pierre, her husband. In this second novel, tragedy strikes as Marie flies home to her beloved Maine without her husband.

Her seatmate, Jenna, is nervous as a mouse in a housefull of cats. Marie senses something isn't right, but assumes it's just marital issues. When Jenna turns up dead in an airport restroom, Marie finds herself running for her life...

...from the ones who want whatever Jenna had. Espionage, intrigue and suspense abound in "Finding Marie". Pierre does his best to get to his precious wife in time...but can he?

Everytime Marie contacts him, someone else ends up in harm's way. Will everyone that helps Marie end up dead? What does she have that these people want, and who are they?

Filled with faith in God and the depth of love felt by a husband for his wife and vice versa, "Finding Marie" will have you thanking God for the men and women who lay down their lives for us each day, and praying that God protects our country from those who seek to do us great harm.

I'm giving "Finding Marie" five out of five bookmarks, and including a Harley keychain as a charm. You'll see why (maybe) if you pick up a copy of this stellar second novel.

By the way, it is possible to read "Finding Marie" as a stand-alone, but why miss out on "Frasier Island"? Be watching for my review of Susan's third novel in this series, "Inside Story", coming soon!

Happy Reading!
