Many of you were amazed that I was going to limit my list, make no changes, and not be a hog...
Aww, c'mon! You all know me better than that:-) While I am going to try to limit myself to a more reasonable list, that would be reasonable for ME, not necessarily your normal, average, everyday reader...of which I am none of those!
But due to surgery mid-April, I have to be somewhat realistic. Pain meds make my eyes blur, and so I won't be doing as much reading for a couple of those weeks. Therefore, my list will include the following titles, by category as much as possible (and many will be giveaways, if I have anything to say about it!)
So, as there are 13 weeks (roughly) in this challenge, I'm picking 13 books in each category, with possible alternates:
Fiction
1--Black Sea Affair by Don Brown
2--A Mile in My Flip Flops by Melody Carlson
4--A Time To Mend by Sally John and Gary Smalley
5--A Soldier's Family by Chery Wyatt
9--Embrace Me by Lisa Samson
12--Winter Haven by Athol Dickson
13--The Warriors by Mark Andrew Olsen
Alternates:
The Barefoot Belivers by Annie Jones
Dogwood by Chris Fabry
Summer Snow by Nicole Baart
Teen/Young Adult Fiction/Non-fiction
3--Chosen by Ted Dekker
6--Match Point by Erynn Mangum
7--Baby Girl by Jane Orcutt
10--Peculiar Treasure by Robin Jones Gunn
12--Ryann Watters and the King's Sword by Eric Reinhold
13--Stealing Bradford by Melody Carlson
Alternates:
Payback by Melody Carlson
Infidel by Ted Dekker
House of Dark Shadows by Robert Liparulo
What Your Daughter Isn't Telling You by Susie Shellenberger
The New Rebellion Handbook
Where Have All The Good Men Gone by A.J. Kiesling
Non-Fiction
2--Vintage Jesus by Mark Driscoll
4--Twist of Faith by Ann Beiler
5--Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss
7--Cold Tangerines by Shauna Neiquist
9--Praying for Your Prodigal Daughter by Janet Thompson
13--Looking For God by Nancy Ortberg
Alternates:
The Vow by Ed Gungor
The Essential Engstrom by Ted Engstrom
I'm Fine With God...It's Christians I Can't Stand by Bruce and Stan
The New Eve by Robert Lewis
Where Have All The Good Men Gone by A. J. Kiesling
The God Who Smokes by Timothy J. Stoner
Non-Christian Fiction
4--Where Are You Now by Mary Higgins Clark
5--Laced by Carol Higgins Clark
6--Zapped by Carol Higgins Clark
7--The Cat Who Smelled Smoke by Lilian Jackson Braun
8--The State of the Onion by Julie Hezy
11--Too Pretty To Die by Susan McBride
12--Murder of a Chocolate Covered Cherry by Denise Swanson
13--The Brush Off by Laura Bradley
Alternates:
Mr Monk Goes to the Fire House by Lee Goldberg
Chili Con Corpses by J. B. Stanley
Now, some have questioned whether or not I'll be changing my list or adding to it. I'm going to try to stick to it, but as books come in or release, I may do some editing. Still, this is pretty much it!
There you have it! Let's get reading, shall we?
Happy reading!

Great List! Don Brown looks interesting and I'll have to put him on my wish list. Reminds me of Dale Brown who writes along the same lines. Thanks for visiting my blog.

Wow, what a list! I look forward to your reviews.
I hope you do well with your surgery too! You've got lots to choose from for your reading...I just recently read Hollywood Nobody and even though it's teen/young adult, I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for checking out my list today!
Wow. I'd hate to think what your list would look like if you weren't having surgery!
I'm excited to see Ruby Slippers on your list. If you get to it, I'd love to hear how it impacts you.
what debi said! :)
i read Laced last week and enjoyed it.

Your list gets me all excited...for your reviews! My mom and I were just talking about Lies Women Believe. She (mom) just finished Laced and passed it on to me! Happy Reading my friend!
Oh goodness, "limited" for you still looks HUGE to me! I recently got Nancy Ortberg's book and while it's not on my list, I know I'll want to read it soon. Thanks for joining SRT '08, Deena -- I always like to see your lists, even if I could never tackle that many myself!
Wow! My little list looks so small compared to yours! Fantastic job!!!! Thanks for stopping by!
Good list, Deena :) Still contemplating doing the challenge!
What a fantastic list! You are so organized! I just simply picked a bunch of random books from my much larger want to read list and type them up. :D Good luck on the challenge.
I like the Bill Myers. He is such a good author.
I want to have a list like yours and know that I will be able to accomplish it. I am challenging myself with 5 books on my list but perhaps I will surprise myself. I am already half way through the first one on my list.
Happy reading!
