Consider Lily by Anne Dayton and May Vanderbilt

Amy and May have penned a new genre called "good girl" chick lit, and "Consider Lily" is volume two. Lily is the daughter of fashion moguls and store owners Joan and Roland Traywick. She works in the children's department of the family department store in the heart of San Francisco.

And she hates it. Feeling like a misfit, unable to get a date, much less a relationship, and more one of the guys than everybody's girl, Lily is ready to pack it in.

But she makes a wager with her best friend Reagan, and soon she is in the midst of a total makeover. What does Lily get in the deal? Hopefully, a boyfriend, but more importantly, her friend to attend church with her.

The makeover works, she gets a guy, and her on-line blog journal is in the top three. But then her oh-so-perfect life does a Job, and Lily is left holding nothing.

Or is she??

May and Anne are two good girls who got it right in this story. "Consider Lily" gets four out of five stars from me. Enjoy these "good girls" and learn a lot from them! They've all certainly learned a lot from their experiences...

Happy Reading!
