The Read and Share Bible

With a grandson getting ready to turn two in just a few months, I'm always on the lookout for quality books and Bibles to put in his library. It's important to me that he understand the need for faith in Jesus, and that God's Word is the most important book he'll ever read.

That's why I'm pleased to recommend "The Read and Share Bible" to you! Published by Tommy Nelson, this children's Bible combines engaging illustrations with truth from God's Word, written so a child can understand beloved stories and truths at a very young age.

Each story is two pages in length and filled with bright, colorful illustrations that capture the heart of the story. The Scripture reference is provided, and I encourage parents and caregivers to take the child to the Bible, showing him or her where this truth is found.

The stories all end with a statement of truth and teaching from the story, along with a 'think about it' question to spark conversation. A child-sized Bible study filled with great truths!

All of the stories follow chronologically, and you'll be pleased to see what is included in the "Read and Share Bible"...stories of childhood Sunday School like David and Goliath and Daniel in the lions' den of course...

...but you'll also read about a floating ax, a baby prince, and the time the sun went backward. Yup, it's all in the Bible! May spur some adults to dig a little deeper in God's Word while teaching their children...and that's a VERY good thing!

These books are great for young ones, but also for those new to their faith in Christ. Something like this is just perfect for filling in basic Bible knowledge, as well as sparking an appetite for Scripture.
