Tuesday Night At The Blue Moon by Debbie Fuller Thomas

I'm always on the lookout for new authors, and I'm pleased to introduce you to Debbie Fuller Thomas and her debut novel, "Tuesday Night At The Blue Moon." This was a treat and begs for a sequel!

Marty Winslow is a single mom with three daughters, living with her widowed father and helping to run the drive in theater. Her middle child, Ginger, died of a genetic illness, leaving Marty in grief and in shock.

It seems that Ginger wasn't really her daughter after all. A horrific mistake occurred, and Marty took home the wrong baby. After getting the birth records unsealed, she finds her biological daughter, Andrea (that's An-DRAY-a!) living with her grandparents.

Marty goes to court and wins temporary custody of Andie. But how can a young girl, orphaned at age ten and only knowing Grandma and Grandpa ever fit in with the Winslow family?

Winnie, Andie's look-a-like younger sister, is thrilled to have Andie there. But Deja is more than troubled...she's angry and hurtful and resentful of Andie's presence.

Can this fragmented family be put back together again? Will Marty ever fulfill her dream, or will she just continue letting life pass her by? And what will happen to Andie when the six months is up and they go back to court to decide her final fate?

Filled with heart, warmth, and genuine struggle, "Tuesday Night At The Blue Moon" is a stunning debut that filled with rich characters and captures the emotional tug of war, tugging at your heart until the very last page.

I can't even begin to imagine what something like this must be like; all I know is only God can take you through a valley like this. And the tendrils of faith wrap their way through the pages of the story, drawing you ever closer to the God that Andie and Marty slowly learn to trust.

As I said in the beginning, this novel BEGS for a sequel, and so do I! I can't wait to see what else Debbie creates. I'm giving "Tuesday Night at the Blue Moon" five out of five bookmarks, with a tiny baker's rack as a charm...word of caution--don't read this on an empty stomach:-) (and that's a GOOD thing!)

"Tuesday Night at the Blue Moon" releases in June 2008 from Moody Press...put it on your wish list today!

Happy Reading!
