Sweet by Food Network Magazine

About the Book:

Dessert and snack fanatics, wait no more! The folks at Food Network Magazine have gathered together more than 300 pages of illustrated, easy-to-follow step-by-step recipes for cakes, cookies, candy, cupcakes, and other goodies, all of them triple-tested and endorsed by culinary enthusiasts.

Definitely one of the tastiest baking books of the year.

My Thoughts:

"Sweet" from Food Network Magazine is to pastry chefs and bakers what Lucky Charms is to children--magical and delicious!  This is the perfect book for the upcoming holidays, but you'll find far more than just seasonal treats.  How about a recipe for Mini Bacon Cheesecakes?  If that doesn't float your boat, how about Peanut Brittle Chocolate Cupcakes?  There's something for every sweet tooth, even those trying to eat healthier.

Of course, as a grandmother, I loved "Fun Projects", like the Alphabet Cupcakes or t he Cookie Puzzle.  As an avid baker, I loved all of the unique flavors and twists on old favorites like brownies.  Is Almond Joy your favorite candy bar?  There's a recipe for you!

Each chapter comes with incredible picture indexes at the beginning of each section, letting you flip right to the recipe you wanted to try with ease.  And every recipe comes with a full color photo that you can regardless of eyesight.  These pics are HUGE!

My thanks to Blogging for Books and the Food Network Magazine for my complimentary copy of "Sweet" in exchange for an honest review!  It gets five enthusiastic stars from me!

Happy Reading!
