About the Book:
God never wastes anything—our strengths, our successes, or our mistakes. In this collection of true stories, Kurt Bubna, a self-confessed “recovering idiot,” chronicles his own honest, heartfelt, and often hilarious missteps along the path to grace.
You’ll discover what it means to experience the unconditional love of God, regardless of how often you stumble, and you’ll gain a fresh view of how to find God’s purpose for your life. Learn from Kurt’s trials and triumphs that God is indeed the God of second chances—and His epic grace can transform even the most imperfect life into something priceless.
My Thoughts:
I loved Kurt's transparency as he shared from his own life lesson's learned about God's "Epic Grace". In fact, I've made another vocabulary decision after reading Kurt's book. I am only using the word "epic" to describe what God does, not what people do.
Those kinds of decisions help me do what Kurt wants, to get our focus back on the magnificence and magnitude of God and all He does and gives us each and every day. And no topic is off limits to Kurt. He demonstrates God's "Epic Grace" using math (God's Algebra), cheesy romance novels (What Those Romance Novels Don't Tell You)--I found that to be a particularly good chaper.
He also discusses Lessons I Learned On a Scooter, and Learning to Love a VDP--what is that, you ask? Well, you'll have to read the book to find out! No worries, though. Kurt writes with engaging language and his chapters are brief and to the point.
I enjoyed getting to know Kurt W. Bubna and learning more about God's "Epic Grace" from him, and found him to be an excellent teacher. Oh, no...he's not perfect. That's just one more reason why I like him so much!
My thanks to my friends at Tyndale House Publishers for my complimentary copy of "Epic Grace" in exchange for an honest review. I recommend you dive into God's "Epic Grace" and stay awhile.
You'll be glad you did!
Happy Reading!
