About the Book:

Sam Sanderson is an independent, resourceful, high-tech cheerleader. Sam’s police-officer father happens to be heading the investigation, and Sam can’t resist doing some sleuthing of her own with the help of her best friend Makayla’s techno-genius. But when Sam’s theories end up being printed in the school paper, she lands in big trouble---and danger!

My Thoughts:

What a great start to a fun, new series!  I love the books Robin writes for mystery loving adults, so I had a feeling I was going to enjoy her books for tweens and teens.  I was right!

Samantha is a go-getter and she wants to make a name for herself in journalism, just like her mom.  With her dad in law enforcement, she should be an automatic choice for editor in chief  her final year of middle school.

But first she has to be given the go ahead to cover the movie theater bombing.  Question isn't can Sam cover the story.  No, the real question is can she reign herself in, and help solve the case rather than cost her dad his job.

Intense action kept me saying "Just one more chapter" last night...uh, yeah, that worked out well!  Make sure you and your young reader have a good sized block of time set aside when you crack the cover on this new series from Zonderkidz" (published by Zondervan, and my thanks for my complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review).
