Rise and Shine by Sandie Bricker

About the Book:

Shannon Malone awakes ten years after a diving accident to find that nothing in her previous life is the same. Waking up to the news that she's thirty years old would have been daunting enough . . . but she also learns that her young groom, Edmund, recently lost his battle with cancer.

Shannon's elderly aunts flit through her life trying to save her from Millicent, Edmund's evil sister, as she tries to extract Shannon from any claim on the Ridgeway fortune. Shannon's gorgeous doctor, Daniel Petros, becomes Shannon's tour guide into a whole new world of madness where reality television has taken over the planet and everyone's life appears to revolve around a tiny screen on their cellphones!

Can Shannon navigate to a happy ending even when her heart keeps asking, "Why, God?"

My Thoughts:

I'm a huge fan of Sandie's romantic comedies, and I was excited when I received a copy of "Rise and Shine" for review.  This is the second book in her Contemporary Fairy Tale and it's a winner!  Sandie's imagination must be a marvelous place to hang out!

The initial tone of the book is a bit dark and sad, considering the events leading up to the main portion of the story.  Just hang in there with Shannon once she wakes does get better.  Before long you'll find yourself praying blessings for  this imaginary character, wanting only God's best for her.

And oh, to have a doctor as dedicated as Dnaiel Petros...and what a cutie-pie he is at that!  His passion for Shannon begins as he sees her as a person in need, and eventually blossoms into romantic feelings.

That's when the humor, chaos and antics really begin!  This is a book you are sure to love, and "Rise and Shine" makes great summer reading, so get a copy today!

My thanks to Moody Press and River North for my complimentary copy of "Rise and Shine" via Wynn-Wynn Media in exchange for an honest review.

Happy Reading!
