About the Book:

My Thoughts:

Wow, Lainie is one tough young woman!  But she's had to be to get as far as Last Chance.  Now the question is can she let down her walls of protection in order to heal and learn to trust?

Ray owns the local bar, but he's a reluctant businessman dreaming his way out of the town that made him who he is today.  When his hopes for the future collide with Lainie's past, sparks fly and the drama gets intense...and I don't necessarily mean the romantic kind!

Fayette is a hoot, Elizabeth is a sweetheart and Steven is trouble on two legs.  Stay in Last Chance a while and you'll meet a whole cast of quirky characters...kind of reminds of me Mitford, just with more attitude!

I fell in love with Cathleen's little town, and her writing had me grinning and crying: sometimes in the same chapter.  I hope she keeps going with these characters, or at least writes more novels with this small town flavor.
