About the Book:
Mara Keegan is an uber-successful mother and a widow of three years. She's been chasing success and all the "good things in life" for her family to make up for the cruel whim God played on them by taking her husband. In an effort to be the perfect mom, she decides to make a photo memory quilt, a graduation present for her daughter, Cadence.

My Thoughts:
I am always mystified how an author can craft characters that connect with my heart from the first pages. What makes one make believe person so believable and another one feel like make believe? Well, what ever it is, Angela has it. Her "Quilts of Love" contribution is pure heart.
Mara is bound by her promise to her late husband. She's overworked, overcommitted and growing more distant with her children each day. Her accident is probably the best gift God could have given her.
Joel is a close second best. His knack for knowing Mara's heart is uncanny, and reminds me how my own husband seemed to be able to read my heart from our first conversation. Joel may not be real, but he's a keeper.
The kids are hilarious, and what a unique name for the oldest daughter (Cadence). All three of them were unique and very lively, and fit well into the story. I enjoyed "A Healing Heart" from the first page and that enjoyment lasted until the final page was turned.
"A Healing Heart" is another excellent novel in this wonderful series from Abingdon Press. I received my copy from Wynn-Wynn Media in exchange for an honest review. I just know you'll love "A Healing Heart" and get a huge kick out of Mara's mishaps and her journey to healing. Highly recommended.
