Paige Torn by Erynn Mangum

About the Book:

Everyone knows they can count on Paige Alder.  But between volunteering at church, putting in overtime at work, and helping her best friend plan an anniversary party, she's lucky to grab a cheese stick for dinner.

Paige can't even remember the last time she had a few minutes to relax or dig into God's Word.  Then she meets laid-back Tyler, an attractive, Jesus-loving guy who challenges Paige to rethink her priorities.  Will he be able to open her eyes to see that staying busy isn't the same as spending time with God?

My Thoughts:

True confession time: I squeal like a teen-aged girl when I know a new book is coming from Erynn!  I fell in love with her writing when I found "Miss Match" and I've been a forever fan since.

Her new release isn't out until May 1st, but I was blessed with an advance galley from Wynn-Wynn Media, and oh, the fun I've had getting to know Paige Alder!  She's the newest heroine created by Erynn, and she's so much like I was in college...busy, busy, busy.

Basically, she's just a girl who cain't say 'no'!

Erynn Mangum's novels have the perfect recipe for fun fiction: a heaping handful of laughter, a pinch of witty dialogue (seriously, she can turn a phrase like no one else I've read), a hearty cupful of geniune faith and just enough romance to keep things interesting.

Paige is putting her life on hold to serve others which, on the surface sounds noble and very Christian.  But what about loving your neighbor as yourself?  Is doing for others to the expense of doing for you what Jesus intended?

Can Lydia, Tyler, Rick, Candace and Peggy help Paige realize that it is okay to say no to some people and some things?  Will Paige ever get to make her decorative wreath?  And can she find time to say yes to Tyler?  Or will she be forever on the run?

I adored Paige.  She's funny, sincere and easy to relate to.  All of the characters are easy to relate to, except Peter, but he's written that way.  And the story flows like a caramel macchiato on a spring day from your favorite barista.

Very rarely do I say this, but I'm a bit jealous of you, reading friend.  You have a great novel to look forward to with "Paige Torn", while I must languish and wait for the second book to release.  Yes, this is that good!

My thanks to Jeane Wynn at Wynn-Wynn Media for giving me the advance peek at "Paige Torn" in exchange for an honest review.  I adore Erynn, and I adore her stories.  She just has a unique way of brightening up my day with fiction, and I want to meet her people in real life and have coffee with them!

"Paige Torn" is the first in a series, and is published by NavPress Th1nk Fiction.  It releases May 2013, so put it on your wish list or pre-order it today.  Highly, highly recommended!

Happy Reading!
