Secretly Smitten by Colleen Coble Diann Hunt, Kristen Billerbeck and Denise Hunter

About the Book:

Summer, fall, winter, spring—Smitten, Vermont, is the place for love . . . and mystery!

There’s a secret in Grandma Rose’s attic—a forgotten set of dog tags belonging to her first love. But David Hutchins was killed in action and never returned to Smitten. How did the dog tags end up in the attic?

The mystery intrigues Rose’s three granddaughters—Tess, Clare, and Zoe—and they decide to investigate, though their mother, Anna, warns against meddling. But as the seasons turn and the mystery unravels, the three young women and their mother encounter some intriguing mystery men of their own. Has a sixty-year-old puzzle sparked something new for this close-knit family of women?

Join popular romance novelists—and real-life BFFs—Colleen Coble, Kristin Billerbeck, Diann Hunt, and Denise Hunter for four delightful intertwined tales of mystery and sweet intrigue.

My Thoughts:

I love projects like this one!  Collaborations by best-selling authors always bring us the best of multiple writing worlds, and no quartet works better together than these four dynamic women.

"Secretly Smitten" is a followup book to "Smitten", a series of short stories about a small town needing rescue from financial collapse.  A group of friends crafts and idea to turn the town into a romance getaway, and the fun and chaos ensues.

In this top notch sequel, we meet the granddaughters of Grandma Rose.  With the new characters coming from one family, "Secretly Smitten" has a bit more cohesion with the individual stories.  I liked that a lot.

Also, "Secretly Smitten" involves a bit of intrigue with the mysterious dog tags, adding even more continuity with each story.  I liked that a lot, too.

The characters are engaging and easy to love, and the stories hold you until the final page.  But don't be fooled: while each story is self-contained, you'll still be flipping pages to get to the very end of the book!  This is quality fiction from four of my all-time favorite authors in Christian fiction, and a guaranteed good read.

I received an advance copy of "Secretly Smitten" as a part of the LitFuse Book Publicity Tour in exchange for participation and an honest review.  "Secretly Smitten" is highly recommended.  After you read this book, run out and find a copy of "Smitten"...and keep watch for another quartet of novellas from these fantastic ladies of romance and intrigue!

Happy Reading!
