ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Todd M. Johnson has practiced as an attorney for over 30 years,
specializing as a trial lawyer.
A graduate of Princeton University and the University of Minnesota
Law School, he also taught for two years as adjunct professor of
International Law and served as a US diplomat in Hong Kong.
The Deposit Slip is his debut novel. He lives outside Minneapolis,
Minnesota, with his wife Cathy, and children Ian and Libby.

My Thoughts:
Few things thrill me more than a stellar debut novel...and "The Deposit Slip" rocked my reading world! Todd's expertise shines in this suspenseful book, and I'm eager to see what he pens next.
Erin is easy to love, and the mystery surrounding her father's death will entangle you and keep you guessing until the final chapters. Jared is one of those small practice lawyers you find yourself cheering for in the movies, and you'll be pulling for him to press on throughout the book.
It's pretty clear from early on who the bad guys are, but Todd is smart...he keeps you wondering about the how and the why, allowing you to see the who from the start. I love that because it's fun to watch the pieces to the deposit slip puzzle fall into place.
From my standpoint as an avid reader and a devotee to the suspense/mystery genre, Todd M. Johnson has earned a slot on my 'must read' list. "The Deposit Slip" is the perfect summer novel, and I'm trying my best to get my husband to read it so I have someone to talk to about this amazing book!
