Dining With Joy by Rachel Hauck

I recently asked myself the question, "Can Rachel Hauck write a bad novel?" Unfortunately, that question remains a mystery, because her stories still resonate with me...and I adore everything she writes!

Dining With Joy" is Rachel's most recent book in her Low Country Romance series. In this book we get to know Joy Ballard, host of the popular show, "Dining With Joy". Ratings are good, viewers are happy, and networks are interested.

There's only one problem.

The host of the show can't cook. Nope. Nothing.

And she's been hiding that from her viewers, her fans, and her production team for years. But now that a major production company is interested in buying her show and making it an anchor in their new network...will she be able to hide it much longer?

Luke Davis had his own dream: owning a five star restaurant. Turns out he CAN cook...just can't seem to make money at it. At least, not enough to keep his restaurant afloat. So he's biding his time at the Frogmore Cafe, helping out in the kitchen.

When Joy finds herself in a situation too hot to handle, Luke comes to her rescue...kind of. And the on camera chemistry is a hit, creating a new problem for Joy...keeping her secret from Luke...the one man she longs to share everything with.

When he isn't driving her crazy, that is.

What would happen if Joy just came clean? What if someone finds out before she builds the courage to reveal her true self? And will Luke love her when he knows all there is to know?

Rachel has a knack for penning novels with flawed heroines that come to brilliant life, unique and fresh every time. And each new character rapidly becomes my new favorite! I loved Joy, being afraid to be known. I get that. I really do.

And I loved Luke for trying to know her. And her family for standing by her. And I love the Frogmore...wish it was real. I just love the entire Low Country Romance series!

That's why "Dining With Joy" gets five out of five bookmarks from me, with a cookbook as a charm...one for beginners, naturally. So, the question remains, "Can Rachel Hauck write a bad novel?" I'm beginning to think the world may never know...

Deena,

Thanks for the 5 spoons! Made me smile. I hope to never write a bad novel, and try NOT to, but every story hits readers different. I can only do the best I can.

Appreciate you!
