Dead Reckoning by Ronie Kendig

A novel needs to grab me within the first few pages. I need to able to connect with the characters, to care about what happens to them. And the story must take me along for the ride--showing me the action and not just telling me a story.

Ronie Kendig's "Dead Reckoning" does all three...and then some! Her debut novel is filled with intrigue, adventure, just enough romance, and a powerful message of faith in God.

Shiloh Blake is on an adventure of a lifetime. An underwater dig in Mumbai that promises great discoveries. But when the bullets begin to fly, Shiloh finds herself on the wrong side of a nuclear threat, with no place to turn.

Reece Jaxon, former Navy SEAL, has gone deep undercover for America. His hunt for terrorists has lead him to Shiloh's path, and now it's his job to find her and keep her safe.

Problem is, Shiloh now trusts no one...especially people who follow her! Can Reece convince her to entrust him with her safety? And will Shiloh ever find the faith she needs to trust God with her life?

Power-packed with action and espionage, "Dead Reckoning" is one that will keep the lights on late into the night. Ronie Kendig knows her stuff, and writes with heart, passion and a little bit of wit.

I look forward to reading more from Ronie. I'm giving "Dead Reckoning" four out of five bookmarks, with a scuba tank as a charm. Look for "Dead Reckoning" from Abingdon Press, and my thanks to them for my copy!

Happy Reading!
