Anything But Normal by Melody Carlson

Prolific author Melody Carlson brings us another novel laced with passion and compassion, tackling yet another sensitive but necessary subject. I'm always amazed at how each story is fresh and inviting...time and time again.

"Anything But Normal" perfectly describes Sophie Ramsey's senior year. Her life is wonderful...good friends, fantastic opportunities, and potential dating relationships to make the other girls green with envy.

Isn't it sad how one poor decision on a summer break can turn an entire year on its head?

This is a must-read story for moms and teen girls. Pledges to remain pure and being raised in a faith-filled home are not enough. Conversation is a MUST, and it can begin with a work of fiction.

My heart broke for Sophie, and I found myself praying for her...even though she isn't real! But those prayers also went up for all the teen girls who find themselves walking in Sophie's shoes.

The church may think she's doing enough for young teens, but she has a long way to go. Open communication, honest dialogue and lots and lots of prayer and accountability are desperately needed.

Read Sophie's story. Pray for all the young women you know and come in contact with on a daily basis. Get involved in your daughter's life...whether she seems to want you there or not---trust me, she does.

And share this novel with as many as you can. It just may save someone's life---and change someone's future. I'm giving "Anything But Normal" five out of five bookmarks, with a promise ring as a charm--this is a promise to BE THERE, no matter what comes.

"Anything But Normal" is available now from Revell Publishing. My thanks to Donna for my copy:-)

Happy Reading!
