A Lady Like Sarah by Margaret Brownley

What happens when a lady outlaw meets up with a reluctant preacher? Well, let's just say if'n all Inspirational Western Romances were as good as Margaret Brownley's, I'd have a passel of'em on my shelves!!

"A Lady Like Sarah" has you laughing on one page and tears streaming on the next. When Justin Wells journeys to his new church in Rocky Creek, it's with a heavy heart and a wondering soul. Disgraced in Boston, Justin wonders how he can continue the Lord's work so far from all he knows.

He stumbles upon a U.S. Marshall and his prisoner, both stranded after being ambushed by robbers. Turns out the prisoner is a sassy red head named Sarah Prescott, and she takes no prisoners.

The subsequent journey is both heart-warming and humorous. Along they way they encounter some of nature's renegades, as well as a few human ones. The two come to understand one another, and deepen their faith in God.

Question is, what can a man of the Word do with a lady like Sarah? And will her sentence be carried out, or can they both count on a miracle? Joining this misfit couple is an orphan baby they rescue from a devastated wagon train, three brothers who could have starred in "Silvarado", and a host of memorable characters.

Margaret Brownley is fantastic in this genre! My only regret is having to wait until late 2010 for another story from her creative mind. Sarah is delightful and Justin is sincere, and together they bring faith and life into a beatiful combination.

I'm still chuckling over Mira the goat! Don't miss out on "A Lady Like Sarah", a Women of Faith Fiction selection. I'm giving this one five out of five bookmarks, with a pair of bright red leather boots as a charm.

My thanks to Micah at Thomas Nelson for sending me a copy and introducing me to a new author to love!

Happy Reading!
