Quick Question, and a Mini-Break...

Hi, Reading Friends!

I'm taking a mini-vacation from the blog this week...we have a wedding and a funeral and then two more weddings coming up (just had one two weekends ago as well), and just received notice that a member of our church had a loved one pass away this morning.

Plus, I'm fighting off a nasty headache that wants to turn into a migraine...been battling it for several days and it's affecting my vision again.

So we're busy in Pastor Dave's household, and I'm scrambling to keep up. Except for tours and pre-scheduled posts, I'll be in and out this week...maybe with a new one, maybe not.

But my question is an important one...I truly need everyone to chime in that can:

Would you be fine receiving new books from me, for free, if I haven't reviewed them yet? Or would you feel deceived, receiving a book I had not yet endorsed?

The reason I ask is because my authors and publishers are generous souls, and have given me many copies to give to YOU, my readers...but I can't read fast enough to get them all to you.

SO, let me know your two cents. And previous winners, the last of the '60 in 6 Giveaway) books are going out this week...hang on! Can't WAIT to get them to you!!

I'll be back on July 31st with the grand prize winner's name from the '60 in 6 Giveaway' share it on your blog contest...and a NEW giveaway that is guaranteed to blow your reading socks off!!

See you in a few...and keep us in your prayers.

(Very tired and) Happy Reading!

Praying for you, Deena! Thanks for all you do, and I'd think any books you want to give away would be gladly received!

Have a great time "off" for a few days! At least off from blogging. :-)

Speaking for myself personally, I wouldn't mind giveaways even if you hadn't reviewed that particular book yet. I could probably gauge my interest in a book based on a synopsis or another review somewhere else. I think everyone understands a busy schedule!

I wouldn't feel deceived if you mentioned that you had not read them yet. I think with a good synopsis that is often provided by the publisher, I can tell if it is something I would want to read or not. I also believe you wouldn't host a giveaway for a book in a genre you found objectionable. :) Take it easy in the next few days. :)

I'll be praying for you.
I think it helps to have had you previously review it just because it's a better gauge at what the book is, but I definitely wouldn't feel deceived or anything if you hadn't reviewed it. If you're too busy you're too busy, and honestly you have that right. Plus you always need to be able to rest and such. So I say do whatever floats your boat, it doesn't bother me. Plus, I agree with the comment before me about being able to tell if something is what I would want to read or not.
But you do give very good reviews.

I'd review books you haven't gotten to yet. Of course I wouldn't feel deceived.

And, good luck with everything you've got going on. My husband and my 8 year old suffer from migraines. We well understand the difficulty that imposes on you. Take all the time you need. You'll be in my prayers.

Ugh. Migraines. I totally sympathise. With all you've going on right now, perhaps you need someone to rub your neck and shoulders? (grin)

I'd read books you hadn't read yet. :) Especially if you mentioned you hadn't, I don't think it would be deceptive or any one would feel that way at all.
