Secret sin eats away at our integrity, at our witness, and at our souls. Bringing such sin out into the light of God's love and healing is the only way to win. Books such as Michael Leahy's help expose the secrets that many battle in an honest and sometimes difficult way...but are necessary.
In his latest book, "Porn @ Work", Michael discusses the growing problem of online pornography and accessing images in the workplace. He is honest about his own 30 year addiction, hiding no details, but also being tasteful in his honesty. Michael also shares some startling statistics concerning this rampant problem.
The book is divided into three parts: Employees Behaving Badly, Why They Won't Stop, and Finding a Better Way to Work. Each section is filled with quotes from other articles and books, facts and figures that reveal just how much pornography has infiltrated every aspect of life.
This isn't an easy book to read, but I think it is a necessary book to read. Whether you have an online addiction or work for a company that may be battling this issue, "Porn @ Work" is a valuable resource.
Pastors need to realize that they may have many in their congregations hiding this sin and needing help desperately. Reading this book may answer some of the questions we all wonder about...from how it begins to how to end it.
Michael is also the author of "Porn Nation" and "Porn University", and operates a non-profit group called "BraveHearts", helping set people free from their addictions to pornography and sexual issues.
I'll rate this one four out of five bookmarks with a heart as a charm, praying God delivers those caught in this snare from their desires and replaces their hearts with clean, fresh ones.
Happy Reading!
