Fatal Illusions by Adam Blumer

If you love criminal thrillers, then Adam Blumer is sure to make your list of top ten authors! His debut novel is multi-layered, yet he keeps all the threads going, tying everything up neatly with a thriller of an ending.

A serial killer is on the prowl for his next victim, keeping an entire community on alert. Known as The Magician Murderer, can police stop him before he claims another life?

Gillian Thayer is a grieving mother, still mourning the loss of her unborn twins. She's proud of her older daughter, Crystal, and loves her husband, Pastor Marc Thayer. But when she finds evidence that Marc may not be all he claims, will her marriage and her life unravel?

Sudden tragedy has the Thayer family relocating to a lighthouse sanctuary in Newberry, Michigan. The three hope that time and distance from events will give them all time to heal.

But what if time is running out? Who is The Magician Murderer? What did Marc REALLY do? And can Gillian ever let go of the past to embrace God's future for her?

Adam Blumer is a master craftsman with words. I wasn't certain how all the pieces fit at first, but as I went deeper into the story, the 'aha!' moments kept coming. I look forward from this new author of suspense!

I'm giving "Fatal Illusions" four out of five bookmarks, with a set of handcuffs as a charm...are they real, or are they magician's cuffs? Bwahahahahahaha....

Happy Reading!
