My scariest read would be any of Karin Slaughter's books. Fantasy and paranormal reads don't usually scare me but, real life monsters do.
My scariest reads? Hmmmm. Well, I really enjoyed The Pawn and The Rook. Both of them were scary, mainly because it's hard to believe the sheer extent of evil in people who hurt other people for their own pleasure. That terrifies me.
That said, I'm sure after I read Christine (Stephen King) that I was little afraid to walk across the street,or step in between two parked cars. . . LOL!!!

Great reviews. To date the scariest book I probably ever read was The Shining by Stephen King. That book literally scared me so much I had to repeatedly put it down and walk away. I read it at about 12 or 13, and the combination of my imagination and Mr. King's prose kept me up late with worry. It was quite believable to me, and the characters were amazing. That man has a gift with characters!

I'd love to win Robert Liparulo's book! I've read Less Than Dead, and it' awesome! For me the scariest read I've read lately would be Isolation by Travis Thrasher! The suspense was wild, and man, talk about spine tingling! I loved it!

I think one of the scariest books I have read recently is House by Peretti & Dekker (and now it's going to be a movie!) It's one of those books that you think in the back of your mind...wow, that could happen!

I love scary books... they're scarier than movies, because you can't shut your eyes... you HAVE to read the words!! :)
My 2 scariest reads both happened to have been written by Frank Peretti. The first was House, co-authored with Ted Dekker. It was intense.
The second was The Oath, which although it didn't seem that scary to read, gave me nightmares. Really.
But these books seem great, too! Looking forward to reading them, regardless of whether or not I win!

Adam by Ted Dekker. Yes, House was horror...but Adam was just downright creepy. Even the editor of the book had to sleep with his lights on while he was working on it. *shudder* That was one that you thought could be very possible.
Oh, so count me in for Deadfall, I haven't been able to get my hands on this one yet.
My scariest read is probably Melanie Wells' My Soul to Keep, totally spooky, but so good.

The scariest book I've ever read is the one I'm reading right now - Isolation is scaring my socks off! But I must be brave, I must soldier on, I must review!

Hmmm, well I'm not scared too easily by books... mostly because I don't read thrillers very much I guess, lol. But "Monster" by Frank Peretti was pretty suspenseful! I guess I need some recommendations. ;-) And these two books would be a GREAT start - thanks for another great giveaway!

Off the top of my head I can't think of the scariest book I've read but I remember my first time reading Frank Peretti's This Present Darkness & Piercing the Darkness; I didn't want to read them at night. I would love to read Tim Downs Less Than Dead, it really sounds exciting!
