Anyone besides me ever long for a trip to Israel, God's Holy land? Then have I got a book for you! Filled with vibrant photographs of those places most of us have only read about, this book will have you either feeling like you've been there...or longing for your turn to go.
"Reflections Of God's Holy Land" is more than just a book of photographs. What makes this so unique is the personal touch added by Eva. This is a journal of her personal journey to Israel...her thoughts as she walked along the streets and soaked in the Bible come to life before her.
She opens with an anecdote about how she "fell into the Bible" literally...then how the dream caught her as she considered journaling her journey. Combined with the factual knowledge and insight of co-author Miriam Feinberg Wamosh, this book is rich with detail as well as personal application.
Each location includes a "did you know" page of facts and insights, followed by Eva's "reflections". Be prepared for tears to flood your eyes as she takes you as close to being there as she can possibly take you. You'll feel a longing unlike any you've ever felt before, and a hunger for more of the God of this Holy land.
Eva has also carefully selected Scripture passages that capture the locales she visits in the book. Divided into four sections, "Reflections On God's Holy Land" covers Out of the Wilderness, House of Stone to House of Israel, Mountains to the Sea, and Beginning to the End: Jerusalem!
This is truly a masterful work, carefully crafted and I believe God ordained. We can get so comfortable with Israel and yet never see her...Eva takes care of that. This tiny epicenter of world history and attention deserves every drop of it she gets.
I still long to one day go to Israel...but I may have to wait until Christ sets up His kingdom there. That's fine with me...when I get homesick, I'll just pull out my album created by my author friends Eva and Miriam.
This is the perfect gift for someone who's expressed a desire to walk where Jesus walked. I encourage you to pick up a copy of "Reflections of God's Holy Land". You'll be SO glad you did!
I'm giving this the golden bookmark with the golden tassel for publishing and writing excellence. Now, I'm off to re-visit Masada!
Happy Reading!

Or, as we say when we are in Israel, "toda!"
Shalom!

This sounds like a lot of work and thought was put into it. I was lucky enough to spend 7 days in Israel, but I know there was so much more to see there. Walking in the places Christ walked, certainly helps you to visualize better when you are reading scripture. Elaine
