Live Intimately by Lenya Heitzig and Penny Rose

I'm a Bible study junkie...I admit it. Show me a new Bible, a new study Bible, or a new Bible study...and I am SO there! So I was ecstatic when I got a copy of two new studies published by David C. Cook (we're reviewing one today, and one tomorrow).

"Live Intimately" is a study of lessons from the Upper Room. This has to be one of the most unique studies I've ever owned--each lesson is based solely on Jesus' last hours with the disciples in the Upper Room

Taken from all of the Gospel account in John, each lesson focuses on a different aspect of what that must have been like and what the Lord was communicating then to His disciples and now to us.

Each lesson has a 20 minute time frame...easier to squeeze into a hectic lifestyle than many others I've seen! But it is still rich and vivid, with titles such as 'The Prince and the Pauper', 'All For One and One For All', and 'Warning Labels'.

The lessons are designed for either individual study or small group, and have five sections: Lift Up, Look At, Learn About, Live Out, and Listen To. Each section has a special place and purpose in the course of the daily study.

Also included are two of my favorite features:-) I'm a NUT for special helps, and this study includes topical sidebar notations and quotes from others to guide you along in your study.

Gorgeously packaged and chock full of Biblical goodies, I'm in love with this series! I only hope Lenya and Penny keep writing more! I'm giving "Live Intimately" five out of five bookmarks, with a highlighter and a pen as charms.
