I've Been Tagged...YIKES!!

Adam Wilson at "Letters On Pages" (who was tagged by Jennifer from The Literate Housewife (originating at The Book Lady’s Blog) tagged me with this meme. I didn’t know what meme meant until about 3 minutes ago. Basically it is when a set of questions gets passed around the intergoogle to be answered by different people. (note: the true definition of a meme, according to Wikipedia, is “is any thought or behavior that can be passed from one person to another by means of imitation.” Which is kind of…but not really…what is happening here. Anyway…I am excited because this is my first one and I get to pretend James Lipton is awkwardly asking the questions while staring intensely in my eyes.

In the spirit of continuing my “getting to know you” theme from last week, I thought I’d borrow this questionnaire from my good buddy James Lipton (love him!) at Inside the Actors Studio and try to get a fun little meme started at the same time. So, I’ll answer the questions and then tag three of my blogging buddies, who will then tag three more, and well…you see how it goes.

What is your favorite word?
This is a hard one for me, because I adore words. I guess I would have to pick "encouragement".


What is your least favorite word?

Stupid. And anything that means the same thing.

What turns you on (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)?

Listening to my husband preach, inspiring messages by others. Teaching the Bible to women who want to learn.

What turns you off (creatively, spiritually or emotionally)?

Meanness, rudeness, lack of consideration, destructive criticism.

What sound or noise do you love?

The deep, heartfelt laughter of my children.

What sound or noise do you hate?

Swearing/profanity and whining

What is your favorite curse word?

Oh, poo! Use it often, too!

What profession other than your own would you like to attempt?

Professor of Biblical Instruction (or running the California State Board of Education!)


What profession would you not like to do?

Anything governmental of involving immoral behavior (unless it would be running the California State Board of Education!)

What one book, other than the Bible, do you read again and again for inspiration? (added by ME!)

Tie between "The Beautiful Fight" by Gary Thomas and "Crazy Love" by Francis Chan...would be "Riven", but that thing is HONKIN' thick!!!
