Unpretty by Sharon Carter Rogers

Photobucket

Only a gifted author such as Sharon Carter Rogers could write a novel of such gritty suspense, leaving a trail of bread crumb clues that hold you until the very end. And what an ending it is!

Something awful is happening in the town of Lehigh, West Virginia. A cult has insidiously taken hold in this tiny community, and the results are lethal. First a bombing at a well-known art gallery, then a murder...and the disappearance of a police officer.

What in the world could be going on?

The sole witness to the bombing at the art gallery isn't talking. Who is she protecting? Could she, an artist herself, be responsible for the crime? Detective Buck Barnes is determined to bring the ones behind this to justice, and to find the missing officer.

Can he do it in time to save lives, and what will result when he finds the answers he seeks?

With throat-clenching suspense, Sharon has written another sure-fire winner! Themes of redemption and eternal destiny radiate through the pages, and some beloved characters come to life. Sharon's book also lends itself to the truth of "don't judge by outward appearances".

Mystery even cloaks the true identity of the author...with many asking "Just who IS Sharon Carter Rogers?" (See her MySpace profile if you doubt me:-)

I'll tell you who she is...she is an author joining the ranks of Ted Dekker, Robert Liparulo, Tim Downs, and many other masters of Christian suspense! I'm giving "Unpretty" five out of five bookmarks, with a mirror as a charm. 'Pretty' neat, huh??

Be warned: this isn't a story for any member of the "Big Honkin' Chickens Club"...but if you're like me, you'll devour "Unpretty".

Happy Reading!
