Finding Hollywood Nobody by Lisa Samson

Photobucket

All of our favorite characters return in this teen lit sequel by Lisa Samson, and they are even more fun to hang with than they were before! In "Finding Hollywood Nobody", we find out even more about Scotty Dawn and her not so Hollywood lifestyle.

After Charley's revelations at the end of the first book (you'll have to go back and read it, 'cause I'm NOT telling), Scotty finds a boldness in herself that wasn't there before.

Oh, she's still just as hip and trendy...but now she has found her voice with Charley! And she will FIGHT for her RIGHT to eat CHEESE:-) I find myself wishin' for a little more Scotty Dawn in me, she's so cool, but in her own way.

Also back for a return visit is Hollywood Nobody's blog, which I enjoyed even more this time around. Her observations, her rants, and her quotes of the day are so spot ON with me it's a little unnerving. It's fun to watch her give voice to today's Christian teen, not knowing if this is how they think or just how they ought to think.

Scotty is working out her faith in God, and it is a joy to watch. Her faith takes action when she meets Grace and reaches out to help a new friend in need. Scotty goes to great lengths, literally, to "be there", and it pays off in unexpected ways.

She's also learning to let others love her in Christ, and that too is gorgeous. Grammie and Grampie are back, and you just feel the love when the three of them hook up on set. Plus we get to meet a few new characters who adore Scotty like we do, and that makes them great people:-)

Really, I can't think of anything negative to say but this: it's going to be TOO long before I get another visit with Scotty! I'm giving "Finding Hollywood Nobody" five out of five bookmarks, with a block of cheddar and a wheel of Gouda as charms...a girl just cannot have enough CHEESE in her life:-)

Watch for "Romancing Hollywood Nobody" to release later this year!

Happy Reading!

I'm dropping by to ask fellow CFBAer's to pray for Kristy who's just lost her husband of 10 weeks in tragic circumstances.
