I've been cozied up with a big pile of books these last few days...doctor's orders--again! Here's a cozy that will warm you up on a cold winter day...but for those readers who are like me...it's third in a series (fair warning!!)...
Gracie Lee has had more than her fair share of struggle. First, a messy divorce and then subsequent marriage to a less than honest kind of guy. Being a suspect in a murder investigation isn't any woman's idea of a fun time!
But then, when a construction renovation project goes wrong and her teenaged son is a suspect...well, that puts an entirely new spin on stress and worry! Without her group of female support at her local church (Christian Friends), Gracie most likely would have not only lost her faith, but her mind as well.
Now, in the third installment in the Gracie Lee series, it only follows that NOW her ex-husband is the prime suspect in the murder of his fiancee, almost wife. When Nicole and Gracie's son Ben both disappear on the same night, the fight is more about who's disappearance rates higher.
It isn't until Hal, Gracie's ex is suspect numero uno that he and Gracie can set aside their differences temporarily. Questions remain, though: where has Ben gone? Who took Nicole, and is the body the police have found hers? If so, who would want to hurt the therapist and soon to be bride?
Amazingly, Gracie is able to keep her nose and her knows out of this investigation. But her new love interest, Detective Ray Fernandez draws her in for her observational skills, and other skills as well:-)
If you're like me, you'll want to begin at the beginning...but trust me when I say "No Love Lost" gets four out of five bookmarks from me, and that this is the best of the series yet! In fact, I'm giving it a bonus keychain charm!
